“Of the Seasons” is a series of hand-colored woodcuts leveraging the media (oil paint stick, oil and oil pastel) and the Japanese rice paper to maximize texture. These works intend to document the nuances of change occurring in nature on the same subject captured over a period of time. “Of the Seasons” explores a human connection to nature contemplating the effects of changing conditions, seasons, and time on human experience—from moment to moment, from day to day, from season to season.
